Despite the central location, you will relax quietly in our guest house and on hand beautiful "Arkonaplatz" with its park-like ambience you will also be accommodated in green surroundings.

For self-caterers we suggest the comfort of our holiday apartments with private kitchen and bathroom with bathtub.

Our guest house was built in 1870 as a stylish workers residence in rapidly growing Berlin during the Prussian imperial period. In its checkered history, the building became witness to the street fighting in 1945 in the last days of the Third Reich as well as the marching troops and tanks during the building of the wall in August 1961. From the middle of the 1970's, the area became a place of refuge for civil rights campaigners and opponents of the GDR regime, who established their separate cultural life here. Since the wall fell in 1989 and the opening of the borders, many artists from all over the world have settled here enhancing the scene. This has resulted in the diversity of life here: basement cinemas, backyard pubs, scene pubs, as well as high-class gastronomy and theatre.
